This Privacy Policy explains how NBA 2027 Picks ("we", "us"), the operator of nbapicks.live, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the site.
Information we collect
- Sign-in details. When you sign in with Google or X, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider. If you create an account with email, we store your name, email, and a securely hashed password.
- Session cookies. We set cookies that keep you signed in and protect sign-in from forgery. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- Pass status. When you buy a season pass, we store whether your pass is active and the Stripe checkout session ID that confirms it.
- Your book. The picks and settings you save in the app, so they are there when you come back.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never sent to or stored by us. We only keep your pass status and the Stripe checkout session ID. Stripe processes payment information under its own privacy policy.
How we use your information
We use your information only to run the site: to sign you in, show your book, unlock the season pass you paid for, and respond if you contact us. Information received from Google or X is used only to create and sign in to your account. We do not use it for advertising.
Where your data is stored
Account data is stored in a Postgres database hosted by Neon. The site is hosted on Vercel. These providers process data on our behalf to operate the service.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers named above, as needed to run the site, or when required by law.
Account and data deletion
You can ask us to delete your account and the data tied to it at any time by emailing jpham1019@gmail.com. We will confirm once it is done. Records Stripe must keep for payment and tax purposes are retained by Stripe under its own policy.
Age
The site is intended for adults 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
